In the case of ZHelper 4, it will request a couple of small text files from the server upon opening the main menu. These files are used as part of the program's update checking mechanism. You can view these files at the following URLs: https://questwizard.net/zhelper/files/update.txt, and https://questwizard.net/zhelper/files/updatev5.txt. ZHelper 5 will only grab updatev5.txt, rather than both text files, and will only do so if update checks are enabled. If an update is found, and you choose to accept it, ZHelper 4 will also request a zip archive from the server containing the files required to update the program to the latest version. ZHelper 5 will ask to open the direct download link in your default browser instead.
